Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data OGK International Real Estate Ltd collects, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have over it.

Who we are

OGK International Real Estate Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are registered in England & Wales, company number 16074809, registered office 32-33 Upper Street, London N1 0PN, United Kingdom. For any privacy matter, contact us at hello@ogkinvest.co.uk.

The data we collect

• Identity and contact details: such as your name, country of residence, email address and phone or WhatsApp number.
• Enquiry details: information you provide about your objectives, budget, funding, timeline and preferences when you complete a form or speak with us.
• Verification information: where a transaction proceeds, identity and source-of-funds information required for anti-money-laundering checks.
• Technical and usage data: request data such as your IP address and browser information (user agent), processed in server logs by our hosting provider, Vercel. We use cookieless Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated usage statistics, as described below.

How we use your data and our lawful bases

• To respond to your enquiry and provide our service: on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in assisting prospective buyers.
• To make introductions to developers or partners: only with your consent.
• To send occasional market updates: only where you have opted in, and you may unsubscribe at any time.
• To meet legal obligations: including anti-money-laundering and record-keeping requirements.

Business contacts

If you work for a developer, agency or other business we may work with, we may hold your name, role and work contact details, taken from you, your organisation or public sources such as your organisation's website, press coverage or LinkedIn. We use them to contact you about working together, on the basis of our legitimate interests. We keep them for up to 12 months after our last contact unless we start working together. You can object at any time, and we will not contact you again.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with: developers or their appointed sales partners, but only with your consent; professionals you ask us to involve, such as solicitors or mortgage advisers; and authorities or advisers where we are required to do so by law. We also use the following service providers and communication channels:

• Vercel Inc.: hosts this static website and processes request data, such as IP addresses and user agents, in server logs. It also provides cookieless Web Analytics. Vercel is a US company.
• Formspree: a US company that receives submissions from our consultation forms, developer partner form and newsletter sign-up forms. Submissions are forwarded by email to hello@ogkinvest.co.uk.
• Zoho Mail: provides our hello@ogkinvest.co.uk mailbox in an EU data centre, where we receive correspondence and emailed form submissions.
• Fonts: the fonts on this site are served from our own website; your browser does not contact Google to load them.
• WhatsApp/Meta: if you choose to message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp/Meta processes your messaging information under its own privacy terms. We receive the message and the contact information made available to us.

International transfers

As we work with international buyers, your data may be processed outside the UK. Where it is, we take steps to ensure an appropriate level of protection consistent with UK data protection law. For the service providers listed above, the position is as follows:

• Vercel: certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so these transfers are covered by UK adequacy regulations.
• Formspree: stores form submissions on Amazon Web Services servers in the United States. Formspree states that it relies on standard contractual clauses for these transfers.
• Zoho Mail: keeps our mailbox in an EU data centre. The UK recognises countries in the European Economic Area as providing adequate protection.
• WhatsApp/Meta: as described above, this service may process data outside the UK under its own terms.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, including to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.

How long we keep data depends on what it is, why we hold it, how sensitive it is and whether the law requires us to keep it for a minimum period. Records of identity and source-of-funds checks made under anti-money-laundering rules are kept for five years from the end of our business relationship with you or the completion of the transaction, whichever is later, in line with the Money Laundering Regulations 2017.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data; to have inaccurate data corrected; to have your data erased in certain circumstances; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it. To exercise any of these, contact us at hello@ogkinvest.co.uk.

Exercising your rights is normally free of charge, and we will respond within one month of receiving your request. If a request is complex, we may extend this by up to two further months and will tell you why within the first month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you can complain to us under our complaints procedure. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies or use localStorage or sessionStorage. We use cookieless Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated statistics on page views and successful form submissions. It records page URLs, referrers, approximate location, browser, operating system and device type; our form events include only form type and page language. These statistics do not identify you. You can block the analytics script with your browser’s content-blocking tools. There is no cookie banner or cookie control panel. This does not mean that no personal data is processed: hosting request logs, Google Fonts and information you submit are described above.

Some project pages offer a developer’s video (YouTube) and a map (Google Maps). Nothing is loaded from YouTube or Google until you press the button. The video then loads from youtube-nocookie.com and the map from google.com, and Google’s privacy policy, which also covers YouTube, applies to them, including any cookies they set.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page, with the date it was last updated shown above.
